Toning your stomachs would involve performing more than just stomach crunches. Therefore, you should know how to perform several different kinds of exercises that focuses on the different parts of your abdominals, and you must also alternate it with cardio exercises. And aside from doing these exercises, you must also go for a low calorie diet so you will be able to successfully get a toned stomach.
Step 1 - Try to burn so many calories day by day so as to burn all those calories in your body that might later on by converted to fats. And remember that a pound of fat is equal to 3,500 calories, which means that if you consume about one thousand calories in a day, in only four days time, you will be able to gain one pound of fats! In order to burn out those calories, make sure that you perform regular exercises day by day and try to live a low calorie diet.
Step 2 - Tone your lower abdominals by doing abdominal hold exercise. Position yourself at the edge of any chair and then brace your hands on the right edges of the chair, and make sure that your palms are away from your body. After that, slowly lift your toes for 2 inches off the ground and then hold it there for five counts, and repeat all over again.
Step 3 - When you perform your workout training, make sure that you target the side part of your abdominal muscles. Do a squat twist exercise so as to tone your legs and the same time, target those abdominal muscles in your body. Perform this exercise by doing a squat position making sure that your knees will not extend past your toes, and then rotate the midsection going to the right direction and then return to starting position again.
Step 4 - Focus on working out your deep abdominal muscles, by getting into all fours and then allowing your core muscles to relax. Take a deep breath and then slowly draw your core muscles in and contract it for ten counts. And when you are done, it’s time that you relax your midsection and then repeat the exercise all over again.
Step 5 - Do not forget to also perform cardio sessions if you really want to get a toned stomach. This should last for 30 minutes or longer, and must be done for most days of the week. Try to alternate it with a higher intensity activity as well, by performing jumping rope for a few minutes.
As you can see, the steps to get a toned stomach are just so easy to do. Most of the exercises can even be done at the comfort of your home, so you don't really need to sign up for expensive gym membership.
